Five members of the Hansons-Brooks Distance Project found their magical footing at 2013 Walt Disney World® Half-Marathon on Saturday, January 12. Mike Morgan and Melissa Johnson-White each claimed individual titles, setting new course records for the 13.1-mile in respective times of 1:05:26 and 1:14:56.

Morgan and Johnson-White were each followed in second place by  their respective teammates, Brendan Martin in 1:06:38 and Ariana Hilborn in 1:17:48. Erin Richard was seventh for the women, finishing in a time of 1:21:35.

“Disney is an awesome race,” shares half-marathon champion Mike Morgan. “While the entire thing is run in the dark, you are never alone due to the fantastic crowd support. It is a perfect winter getaway race, I hope to be back in the near future!”

The Walt Disney World® Half Marathon presented by Cigna® began and ended at Epcot® and led runners through Magic Kingdom® Park. Disney entertainment was provided on-course for a thrilling racing experience for all.
