2012 Olympic Trials

The 2012 Olympic Trials Marathon brought us an Olympian, some personal bests, and great places.  Desiree Davila will be representing the United States in the 2012 Olympics to be held in London, England on August 5.  She finished 2nd in 2:25:55!  Dot McMahan had another top ten finish by running 2:32:16 to finish 9th.  Melissa White finished 13th in 2:34:33, Erin Richard ran 2:44:53, and Lavenna Mullenbach was 2:46:49.

The men were led by a personal best of 2:14:22 by Mike Morgan in 17th place.  Drew Polley set a personal best by dipping under 2:15 with a time of 2:14:58.  Paul Hefferon ran 2:16:46 in his debut marathon.  Robert Scribner also achieved a personal best time of 2:18:18.  Sage Canaday was next in 2:18:24.  Jeremy Criscione ran a debut marathon of 2:20:57.  Clint Verran just off his qualifier in December ran 2:22:03.  Ryan Sheehan ran 2:25:37.  Chad Johnson was able to finish despite having a huge knee.  Unfortunately injuries prevented Luke Humphrey and Tim Young from finishing.

Another Trials Qualifier

Clint Verran qualified for his 4th Olympic Trials Marathon by running 2:18:56 at the Cal International Marathon on December 4!  He will be competing with a number of his teammates on Saturday, January 14, 2012 in Houston, TX.
